Stephen Baldwin

Stephen Baldwin.

Stephen is the proud Founder and Managing Director of credicus. Working in the Financial Services industry for over 20 years for mortgage & protection brokerages, Stephen has gained an invaluable network of clients and has established strong relationships with lenders, solicitors, and accountants.

After establishing Evelyn Rose FS in 2019, Stephen decided to utilise his experience in property finance and set up credicus. Focusing on both term mortgage products and short term lending, he has gained direct FCA approval for credicus and can now service his clients with nearly every property loan transaction. Stephen’s focus has always been to help clients achieve their goals. He prides himself on being approachable, honest and transparent. This ethos is embedded in the credicus team. 

Away from the office, Stephen primary focus is his family however he enjoys some relaxation on the golf course and a big supporter of Watford Football Club. With his extensive industry experience, commitment to client success, and dedication to his family and leisure activities, Stephen brings a well-rounded and vibrant presence to both his professional and personal life.

Annabel Crawshaw

Annabel Crawshaw.

With over 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Annabel brings a wealth of expertise to our team as the Director of Operations. Since joining credicus, she has played a pivotal role in optimising our operations, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring a seamless experience for our valued clients.

In her capacity as the Director of Operations, Annabel oversees all facets of our operations, from cultivating strong client relationships to managing application processing and resolving any issues that may arise. Her leadership and guidance have been invaluable to our team, as she has implemented effective policies, procedures, and innovative technologies that have streamlined our processes, increased transparency, and improved customer service and third-party relationships.

Before joining credicus, Annabel held several leadership positions within the finance industry, allowing her to refine her skills in operations management and further strengthen her industry knowledge.

Outside of work, Annabel highly values spending time with her family and friends. Annabel’s vast experience and dedication to meaningful relationships make her an invaluable asset to our team and reinforce her commitment in both professional and personal realms.

Aga Ulatowska

Aga Ulatowska.

Aga has been working in financial services for over 5 years. She obtained her qualification as a mortgage broker in 2020, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in the field. Aga specialises in providing clients with expert advice on Residential and Buy to Let mortgages, as well as offering valuable protection guidance.

Aga deeply values the relationships she builds with her clients and prioritises their needs and goals above all else. Aga goes the extra mile to ensure that her clients receive personalized and tailored solutions, taking the time to understand their unique circumstances. Her exceptional communication skills and ability to simplify complex concepts make her an approachable and trusted advisor.

Outside of work, Aga finds joy in hosting friends and embarking on long river walks with her daughter and dogs. Her active and sociable nature enhances her ability to connect with others, making her a well-rounded professional both inside and outside the office.

Steve Ellis

Steve Ellis.

With over 12 years of experience as a broker in the bridging and commercial industry, Steve is a well-versed in the intricacies of the field. In addition to his brokerage background, he has also worked for a large development lender, which has provided him with a diverse skill set and expertise in both bridging and development finance. His experience encompasses various aspects of the industry, including working with brokers, Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs), Solicitors, valuers, and direct clients.

In 2021, Steve joined credicus with the aim of contributing to the company’s growth and success. With his extensive knowledge and industry experience, he is eager to make valuable contributions to credicus‘s operations and assist in its expansion.

During his leisure time, Steve indulges in golf, football and fishing. These hobbies provide him with an opportunity to unwind, pursue his interests, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Sajid Kazmi

Saj Kazmi.

Saj became a valued member of credicus in July 2021, stepping into the role of Relationship Manager. With over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, his knowledge and expertise greatly benefit the company. Prior to joining credicus, Saj worked with reputable financial services brokerages in the UK, establishing close collaborations with a range of intermediaries such as Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs), mortgage brokers, estate agents, accountants, and wealth organizations. Through these interactions, he has honed his ability to cultivate strong relationships and foster effective partnerships.

Saj’s dedication to exceptional service is evident in his availability and willingness to assist. His friendly personality and approachable nature create a welcoming environment for clients and colleagues alike. He understands the importance of building trust and rapport, and he consistently goes the extra mile to ensure that the needs of all stakeholders are met.

During his leisure time, Saj engages in a variety of activities. He is an avid sports enthusiast and actively participates in football, cricket, and tennis. Saj also enjoys exploring culinary delights through cooking. Furthermore, his love for travel takes him to various destinations in Europe and Asia, allowing him to embrace different cultures and broaden his horizons.

Saj’s interests and well-rounded lifestyle contribute to his personal growth and enrich his ability to connect with others professionally. His passion for sports, nature, knowledge, provide him with diverse perspectives that he can bring to his role as a Relationship Manager at Credicus.


Alvin Do Nascimento.

Alvin brings an impressive 18 years of expertise as a mortgage and protection broker to credicus. Transitioning more recently to specialise into the role of a Specialist Protection Adviser. Throughout Alvin’s career, he has not only achieved remarkable success with his clients but has also nurtured trusted relationships with lenders, insurers, and fellow professionals.

What truly sets Alvin apart is his genuine passion for client care. He consistently goes above and beyond to deliver exceptional service, always striving to exceed expectations.

With his wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience, Alvin is a master at offering personalised advice and guides clients towards the best solutions for all their needs.

Away from work, Alvin lives in Hertfordshire with his cherished family. During his downtime, you’ll often find him kicking a football around, creating memories with loved ones, or jetting off to explore new destinations. And of course, staying healthy and active is a priority for Alvin so he enjoys spending time in the gym and keeping fit.

Darren Peiris.

With over 8 years of experience, Darren brings expertise in bridging finance, development finance, commercial mortgages, business loans, residential mortgages, BTL mortgages, and HMO mortgages to credicus.

Darren was drawn to credicus due to the company’s positive reputation as an intermediary, he was particularly impressed by the strong client, solicitor, and financial institution relationships. During his time here, he has embraced new challenges, learning valuable skills along the way. Working alongside his colleagues has been a rewarding experience, and he looks forward to the company’s future endeavours.

Passionate about guiding clients towards their goals, Darren finds immense pride in successfully completing property transactions. Knowing he has helped secure a new home for a family or a commercial space for a thriving business sparks his dedication to his work.
